- What's free, and what's Premium?
- Reading is free: up to 2 complete Quick Spark stories a day, with the point of view of your choice, 6 heat levels and your boundaries. Premium unlocks Deep Dive stories, the “Very explicit” heat level and unlimited writing, plus audio narration with warm, natural voices, story retouching (edit any passage yourself, or have it rewritten your way), and sequels or new chapters for your stories.
- Why only two story lengths?
- Because every story deserves a real beginning, middle and end. Quick Spark (~1,000 words, 5 min read · 7 min listen) is a single scene with a full arc. Deep Dive (~2,000 words, 10 min read · 15 min listen), included with Premium, gives the story room for a slow build. No cliffhangers, no endless scrolling.
- How private are my stories?
- Your stories are visible only to you, stored in your private library, and never used to train AI models. You can delete any story, or your whole account, at any time.
- What appears on my bank statement?
- A neutral company name, nothing that mentions stories or romance. Your receipts are discreet too.
- Can I set limits on what a story contains?
- Yes. Set your boundaries once (themes, words or situations you never want) and every story we write for you respects them. You can change them whenever you like.
- What isn't allowed?
- Anything involving minors, non-consent, real people or copyrighted characters. Every character is a fictional adult, and every story is built on enthusiastic consent. These rules are never optional.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes, in one click from your account settings. Your written stories stay in your library on the free plan.
- Which languages are available?
- Stories are written in 22 languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Greek, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Arabic, Hebrew, Turkish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi and Malay. Pick yours from the language menu. Premium narration is rolling out language by language, with native voices.
- What is an AI erotic story generator?
- You describe what you're in the mood for: a situation, a trope, a point of view, a heat level. We write a complete erotic story from it, unique to you, with a real arc from the first tension to the last line. No two stories are alike, and yours is free to read.
- How explicit can the stories get?
- You choose among 7 heat levels: Tender, Emotional, Poetic, Poetic (18+), Balanced, Explicit and Very explicit. The first three are romance; from Poetic (18+) up, the stories are erotic, and Very explicit is reserved for Premium. Whatever the level, every story stays between consenting adults.
Getting started
- Do I need an account?
- No. You can try Joy & Jack as a guest and read the opening of the stories you generate. A free account lets you read them in full and keep them in your private library.
- How do I write my first story?
- Open the story generator, choose a length, a point of view and a heat level, then describe your idea, or tap "Generate ideas" and pick a few tags: we write you two to choose from. Your story is written in a few minutes.
- Who can use Joy & Jack?
- Adults only: you must be 18 or over, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
Stories and content
- How long does it take to write a story?
- Usually a few minutes. You can watch the story being written and start reading as soon as it appears.
- Why was my idea refused?
- Every idea is checked against our content rules before we write. When one is refused, we show which rule it touches so you can rephrase it. See our Acceptable Use Policy for the full list.
- Can I bring characters back in another story?
- Yes. With a free account, the characters and places of your stories are kept in "My objects". Pick up to six of them when you write your next story.
- Can I delete a story?
- Write to hello@joyandjack.com from the address linked to your account and we will delete it.
Billing and gift cards
- Who processes my payment?
- Payments are processed by CCBill. We never see or store your full card number.
- How do I cancel?
- From your account page, through CCBill, or by writing to us. You keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Can I offer Joy & Jack to someone?
- Gift cards are coming soon. You will be able to buy Premium for someone else and they will redeem it with a code.
Privacy and safety
- Are my stories used to train AI?
- No. We never use your ideas or stories to train AI models, and our providers are asked not to keep them.
- Can anyone else see my stories?
- No. There are no public profiles or shared stories. Only a small number of authorised staff may read a story when needed, for example to handle a report.
- How do I report something?
- Follow our Complaints Policy, or use Report Non-Consensual Imagery for an image. No account is needed.
Your account
- I forgot my password.
- Write to hello@joyandjack.com from the address linked to your account and we will help you reset it.
- How do I delete my account?
- Write to hello@joyandjack.com from the address linked to your account. We delete your data within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep.
- Can I get a copy of my data?
- Yes. Ask us at hello@joyandjack.com and we will send your stories and account data in a common format.
