Trust and Safety

Last updated 29 October 2026Version 0.1

Sensual fiction should feel safe to read, and safe to write. This page explains the safeguards we use, what happens when something breaks our rules, and how you can challenge our decisions.

1. Our principles

  • Adults only, always. Every reader and every character is an adult.
  • Consent is the story. We write desire between people who want to be there, never harm.
  • Privacy by default. Your stories are visible to you alone, and never used to train AI.
  • People make the final call. Automated checks catch problems quickly; a person reviews every appeal.

2. Our safeguards

  • Age assurance: {{AGE_ASSURANCE_METHOD}}. Every visitor must confirm they are an adult before entering, and we record when an account holder confirms it.
  • Request checks: before we write, every idea passes a fast filter for blatant red flags (such as ages under 18), then a review by an AI moderation model given our rules. If either check is unavailable, we do not write.
  • Story checks: every finished story is reviewed against the same rules. A story that fails is not stored.
  • Image checks: covers are generated with fixed safeguards and the image model's safety checker; see our Image Moderation Policy.
  • Scheduled re-scans: {{CONFIRM}} stored content is re-checked when our rules change.
  • Abuse prevention: bot protection and usage limits stop automated misuse.

3. What gets blocked and how you are told

Our Acceptable Use Policy lists what we never write. When a request is blocked, we tell you straight away, show which rule it touches and the words that triggered it where we can, so that you can rephrase. We never silently change the meaning of your story.

4. Enforcement

We respond in proportion to how serious and repeated a breach is:

  1. Refusal of the request, with an explanation.
  2. Warning on the account.
  3. Temporary suspension.
  4. Account closure.

Content involving minors, or any suggestion of real abuse, skips these steps: the account is closed immediately, and we report it to the competent authorities where the law requires.

5. Appeals

You can appeal any decision about your content or your account within six months by writing to hello@joyandjack.com with the subject "Appeal". A person who was not involved in the original decision reviews it, and we reply within 7 business days. If we were wrong, we reverse the decision and restore what we can. Our Complaints Policy describes the process and your other options.

6. Single point of contact (EU Digital Services Act)

Under the EU Digital Services Act, our single point of contact for authorities, the European Commission and users is hello@joyandjack.com. We accept messages in English and Estonian.

7. Cooperation with authorities

We answer valid legal requests from competent authorities and check each one before disclosing anything. We report child sexual abuse material and credible threats to life to the relevant authorities and organisations without delay.

8. Transparency

We will publish yearly figures on how many requests and stories our checks refuse, the reports and appeals we receive, and how they were resolved. {{CONFIRM}}

9. Contact
